  • Recruited after a major fraud to work closely with the Managing Director and Board to repair brand image and revamp company’s credit risk strategies. Held direct responsibility for managing loan delinquency, non-performing portfolio, and revenue growth for Leasing, Corporate and Personal Loans.
  • Managed and mentored a team of ten diverse individuals with a specific focus on addressing knowledge and competency gaps to improve team and overall business performance.
  • Continuously evaluated business practices, loan and lease processes and procedures to devise mitigation action plans where necessary to minimize any occurrences of fraud and or loss.
  • Spearheaded enhanced due diligence and monitoring procedures for new and existing clients as well as established collaborations with other industry players which resulted in the reduction in portfolio delinquency by 4 basis points (15% to 11%) over a period of three years. Enhanced due diligence and monitoring of default clients also resulted in recoveries of over $5M USD in three years.
  • Lead the successful transition of the business to the IFRS 9 Accounting Reporting Standard and spearheaded the creation of a risk rating tool which assisted with this process.
