  • Initiated, developed, and successfully implemented a Life Skills and Citizenship Education program through extra and co-curricular activities, covering initially 100 schools with the potential to be scaled up to all public schools in Syria.

  • Through the organization of communities and project support, we evolved and successfully implemented a cost-effective strategy to mitigate the effects of severe drought in northern Afghanistan (Marar E Sharif). We ensured that the affected communities are provided support at the point of origin, restraining their mobility to the concentration camps.

Accomplishments

  • During the past few years through application of systemic approach to delivery of quality education have:
  • I supported the delivery of distance education in 12 island countries, including online education for two consecutive years in Trinidad and Tobago during school closures due to COVID-19. This initiative included teacher training, an online platform, and, most importantly, the development of curriculum-based digital coment for all subjects and grades
  • Since 2022, I have successfully facilitated national consultations in 12 East Caribbean Island countries for the production and submission of policy papers to the UN Transformation of Education Summit (TES). Following this, I established a TES initiative that involves all major stakeholders meeting regularly on a platform to support and monitor the much-needed education transformation agenda.
  • Three months of Surge to support Sindh and Baluchistan province for establishment of Temporary learning centers and developing EiE programme Strategy with a focus on foundational leaming in the IDP camps
  • 1 lead the Caribbean Safe School Initiative (CSS), focusing on school-level safety measures and drills for unforeseen emergencies, as well as contingency plans institutionalized within the ministries of education in seven East Caribbean Island states.
  • I supported the implementation of Giga in seven OECS islands, as well as in Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados. This included the completion of school mapping, the development of digital content, the creation of an open-source repository for digital educational content, the establishment of a digital library, and steps to ensure that technology is treated as a digital public good
  • Isuccessfully implemented the Generation Unlimited (GenU) initiative in the East Caribbean, focusing on youth empowerment and the locally customized YOMA (Youth) Marketplace Initiative) in Trinidad and Tobago. This initiative supports educational recovery and alterative pathways for skill and enterprise development.
  • Delivered informal, non-formal, and distance education for the Venezuelan migrant and refugee population with appropriate accreditation in Trinidad and Tobago
  • Developed and implemented a comprehensive Teacher Continued Professional Development Programme to deliver quality education at the national level, incorporating assessments of Continuous Learning Achievements (CLA)
